about

"Paper Skies" takes listeners on a profound journey through introspection, self-realization, and the pursuit of inner freedom.

Born out of Lynz's introspective sabbatical post her first album 'Dusk At Dawn', "Paper Skies" taps into the raw, vulnerable psyche of someone wrestling with their inner demons. It's a battle cry for the ones lost in the greys of their minds, trying to shape and mold their thoughts, like fragile edges of paper, into something beautiful. "So why should I look back I already know what I will find," sings Lynz, reminding us all that living in the present and shaping our own destiny is where true power lies.

lyrics

It's like I pledged allegiance to the dark side of the moon
My heads off to the races and its coming for me soon
I’ve had enough
Had enough

I’m standing on the ledges so uneven with the ground
Even if I make my mind up, I won't know how to put it down
Oh let it stop
It won't stop

So why should I look back I already know what I will find
A mind so full of grey that it would be a waste of time
So take these fragile edges and
Bend them into line
Of your design
Of paper skies

I'm off to start a battle I’ll keep an eye upon the grave
Cuz now I realize these moments build our brighter days
No giving up not giving up

It feels like finally I can be all I want to be
and all my limitations are in place because of me
I’m ready to go, ready to go

So why should I look back I already know what I will find
A mind so full of grey that it would be a waste of time
So take these fragile edges and bend them into line
Of your design
Of paper skies

So why should I look back I already know what I will find
A mind so full of grey that it would be a waste of time
So take these fragile edges and bend them into line
Of your design
Of paper skies

So maybe I'll just forget and
Cut the ties inside my mind
Be done with all the weakness,
Be done with all the lies
Oh I'll move on
I'll move on

So why should I look back I already know what I will find
A mind so full of grey that it would be a waste of time
So take these fragile edges and bend them into line
Of your design
Of paper skies

Of your design
Of paper skies

Of your design
Of paper skies
